Aito, Luxeed, Stelato & Maextro 2025 product planning leaked

هاينا

Aito, Luxeed, Stelato, and Maextro brands’ product planning for 2025 leaked in China, revealing four new model launches and two updates. These marques are parts of Huawei’s Harmony Intelligence Mobility Alliance (HIMA). The Chinese IT giant is deeply involved in its development and sales, and it cooperates with state-owned manufacturers.

Huawei has three partnership variants with automakers. The most involved way of cooperation is the creation of a joint brand. The Chinese IT company has four joint automotive brands, distributing their cars through the HIMA sales network and Huawei flagship stores. Those brands include Aito (Seres & Huawei), Luxeed (Chery & Huawei), Stelato (BAIC & Huawei), and Maextro (JAC & Huawei). Their product planning for 2025 leaked in China.

Aito plans for 2025

Refreshed Aito M9

In March this year, Aito will launch the updated M9 crossover. It will reportedly adopt the powertrain of the Aito M8 SUV that filed for a sales license on January 10 this year. It means the EREV variant of the Aito N9 will use dual-motor 4WD with a front motor for 165 kW (221 hp) and a rear e-motor for 227 kW (304 hp). The total power output reaches 392 kW (525 hp), which is a 27 kW increase from the current model. The updated Aito M9 will likely adopt the latest range extender from Seres with a power output of 118 kW (158 hp), 6 kW more than the car’s current generator.

The Aito M9 is a full-size SUV with dimensions of 5230/1999/1800 mm with a wheelbase of 3110 mm. This vehicle is offered with a five- and six-seat interior layout. The currently available BEV variant of this crossover offers two e-motors for 390 kW (523 hp) mated to a 100 kWh battery pack, suitable for 630 km CLTC. The current EREV variant of the Aito M9 generates 365 kW (489 hp) and has an electric range of 225-275 km CLTC. The M9’s price range is 469,800 – 569,800 yuan (64,540 – 78,275 USD).

Aito M8

The Aito M8 large SUV will make its first public debut at the Shanghai Auto Show 2025 in late April. The market launch of this model is scheduled for May. And the deliveries to clients will kick off in June. CarNewsChina expects the price of this model to lie between 350,000 and 450,000 yuan (48,100 – 61,800 USD).

The Aito M8 boasts dimensions of 5190/1999/1795 mm. Its wheelbase reaches 3105 mm. It is available with five or six seats inside. The Aito M8 adopts an EREV powertrain with a 1.5-liter turbocharged petrol engine under the hood for 118 kW. Its electric motors have a combined peak power of 392 kW (525 hp).

Refreshed Aito M7

The refreshed Aito M7 will start pre-sale in China in August this year. Its market launch is scheduled for September. The Aito M7 was the brand’s bestselling model in 2024 with 193,342 units delivered to clients across China. However, it started to lose traction during the year as the competition intensified in China. So, the Aito M7 update is well-needed to boost the demand for this model.

The Aito M7 is an EREV crossover with length, width, and height of 5020 mm, 1945 mm, and 1760 mm, respectively. Its wheelbase stretched to 2820 mm. The M7 also has five and six seats inside. This crossover has a 1.5-liter generator for 112 kW under the hood. The RWD variant of the Aito M7 offers a single e-motor for 200 kW (268 hp). And the 4WD variant has two electric motors (130 kW + 200 kW) for 330 kW or 443 hp. The Aito M7’s electric range is 200 – 240 km under CLTC conditions. Its price is 249,800 – 329,800 yuan (34,315 – 45,300 USD).

Luxeed plans for 2025

Luxeed R9

The Luxeed brand from Huawei and Chery will release its new model in September this year. It is the Luxeed R9 full-size luxury SUV. There is no further information about this vehicle available. However, the first model under the Luxeed R-line was the R7 SUV coupe the size of the BMW X6. It sold 26,989 units in the two last months of 2024 (according to China EV DataTracker). So, Chery and Huawei can take a further step this year by creating a full-size SUV coupe. This way, the Luxeed R9 won’t struggle from the internal competition with Aito models at Huawei’s HIMA stores. The sales launch of this vehicle will take place in early 2026.

Stelato plans for 2025

Stelato S9 EREV

The Stelato S9 EREV variant from Huawei and BAIC will make the market debut at the Shanghai Auto Show in late April this year. The electric variant of this vehicle entered China last year with a price range of 399,800 – 449,800 yuan (54,850 – 61,800 USD). However, its sales were disappointing with 3,008 units delivered in three months. The cheaper EREV variant with no range anxiety factors will help to boost the Stelato S9 sales volume.

Stelato S9 is a large sedan with dimensions of 5160/1987/1486 mm and a wheelbase of 3050 mm. It has a low drag coefficient of just 0.193 Cd. Its electric version comprises an RWD variant for 227 kW (304 hp) and a dual-motor 4WD for 385 kW (516 hp). Its range is 665 – 721 km under CLTC conditions.

The Stelato S9 EREV will highly likely adopt a 1.5-liter turbocharged engine from the BAIC BJ60 Thunder EREV SUV. The peak power of this ICE reaches 138 kW (185 hp). The energy is stored in a 40.3 kWh ternary NMC battery pack. The electric motors of the Stelato S9 EREV will most likely come from Huawei.

Maextro plans for 2025

Maextro S800

The Maextro brand from Huawei and ex-Nio manufacturer JAC will launch its first vehicle in May this year, with deliveries starting in June. It is the Maextro S800 luxury sedan that aims to rival Maybach, Bentley and Rolls-Royce. The S800 sedan has dimensions of 5480/2000/1536 mm (length, width, height), and a wheelbase of 3370 mm.

The Maextro S800 adopts BEV (battery electric vehicle) and EREV (extended-range electric vehicle) powertrain variants. The BEV variant is available with three electric motors (each for 160 kW) only with a combined power of 635 kW (852 hp). The EREV variant of this car goes with dual-motor 4WD for 390 kW (523 hp) and a 1.5-liter range extender as standard. There is also a tri-motor version available with a peak power output of 635 kW. The Maextro S800 will enter the Chinese in May this year with a price range of 1 – 1.5 million yuan (136K – 205K USD). It will try to conquer the luxury car segment by offering a mix of high-end features with some futuristic functions like unmanned charging.
