Best-selling EV in China in January, 100,000th Geely Xingyuan rolled off production line

On February 26, Geely announced that its 100,000th Geome Xingyuan EV rolled off the production line. It is worth pointing out that the Geely Geome Xingyuan was the best-selling EV in China in January, surpassed the Wuling Bingo (11,746 units) and BYD Dolphin (10,157 units).

Currently, there are five trims on sale, with a limited-time discount price range of 69,800 – 98,800 yuan (9,600 – 13,600 USD). Built based on Geely’s GEA platform, the car measures 4135/1805/1570 mm, and the wheelbase is 2650 mm. The front trunk has a standard volume of 70 L, while the back trunk has a standard volume of 375 L, which can be expanded to a maximum of 1320 L.

Overall, the car body is round, featuring a closed front face with triangular LED headlights as well as triangular taillights. The seven body colors are inspired by ice cream, including vanilla rice, basil green, berry pink, and milky white.

Power comes from a rear electric motor, available in two versions of 58 kW (78 hp) and 85 kW (114 hp), paired with two lithium iron phosphate battery pack capacities of 30.12 kWh and 40.16 kWh from CATL, corresponding to a CLTC range of 310 km and 410 km, respectively.

The top speed is 135 km/h, the fastest 0 – 50 km/h acceleration time is 3.9 seconds, the minimum turning radius is 4.95 meters, the braking distance per 100 km is 36.9 meters, and the moose test speed is 75 km/h.

Under 1.66C fast charging technology, replenishing from 30% to 80% takes 21 minutes, and recharging for 10 minutes can increase the range by 120 km.

Inside, the interior is powered by the Flyme Auto smart cockpit system, equipped with a 14.6-inch floating central control screen and an 8.8-inch full LCD instrument panel, supports voice recognition that can control multimedia, navigation, mobile phone connection, air conditioning, and seat heating. There is a 10 L drawer-style storage space for the co-pilot and a 28 L storage space under the rear seats.

Additionally, the top-of-the-line trim also comes with level 2 advanced driving assistance functions including adaptive cruise control and traffic light recognition.
