New Aito M9 with four lidars revealed in EREV and EV variants

On February 19, the Chinese MIIT revealed Seres‘ new Aito M9 SUV, available in EREV and EV variants.

The new Aito M9 is 5230/1999/1800 mm in length, width, and height, and has a wheelbase of 3110 mm. The approach and departure angles are 18° and 20°, respectively. The tire specifications are 265/45R21, 285/45R21, 265/40R22, and 285/40R22.

EV

• Curb weights: 2610 kg, 2655 kg, and 2680 kg

• Powertrain: dual electric motors supplied by Huawei: a 160 kW (215 hp) front motor model YS210XYA03 and a 230 kW (308 hp) rear motor model TZ210XYA03

• Powertrain: a 115 kW (154 hp) engine model HG15T as the range-extender, a 165 kW (221 hp) front electric motor, and a 200 kW (268 hp) rear electric motor

• Two WLTC fuel consumption options: 0.62L/100km and 0.64L/100km

Furthermore, the new Aito M9 continues the design of the current Aito M9 in appearance, with changes in details. There are four lidars throughout the exterior, one in the front, one in the rear, and two on both sides. For reference, the current Aito M9 is equipped with the Huawei Qiankun ADS 3.0 advanced driving system.

In January, the Aito M9 series delivered 12,483 vehicles, ranking first in sales of luxury cars priced above 500,000 yuan (68,600 USD) in the Chinese auto market for 10 consecutive months, according to the official. Since the first batch was delivered in February 2024, the cumulative orders of the Aito M9 have exceeded 200,000 units in the first year. Official data shows that from January 20 to February 16 this year, the Aito brand ranked sixth in sales of luxury vehicle brands in China.
