Stellantis-backed Leapmotor B10 crossover to start presales on March 10
The Stellantis-backed Leapmotor B10 electric crossover will start presales in China on March 10. It is the BYD Atto 3 rival with a 4.5-meter body and a single electric motor for up to 214 hp. The Chinese price tag of this model will lie between 100,000 and 150,000 yuan (13,750 – 20,650 USD).
The Leapmotor B10 isn’t just a new model in the brand’s lineup. It is the first car under the new B-series focused on affordable NEVs. Moreover, the B10 is the first car to stand on the LEAP 3.5 modular architecture. This car applied for a sales license in China in December last year. On March 10, the Leapmotor B10 will start presales in China. In late 2025, this SUV will enter Europe.

The Leapmotor B10 adopts the design language of the more expensive C-series cars like the C10 and C16. It adopts two elongated running lights joined by an LED strip. Headlights of the B10 seat in the front bumper. Speaking about the bumper, it has a sporty shape with a sizable air intake. Despite being an affordable EV, the Leapmotor B10 offers retractable door handles, an optional LiDAR sensor on the roof, and 18-inch wheels. From the back, it has a single taillight unit and the Leapmotor inscription.
The B10 stays close to the BYD Atto 3 in terms of sizing. Dimensions of the Leapmotor’s newest SUV are 4515/1885/1655 mm with a wheelbase of 2735 mm. For clarity, the B10 is 60 mm longer, 40 mm wider, and 40 mm higher, than the Atto 3.
The entry-level Leapmotor B10 adopts a single electric motor with a peak power of 132 kW (177 hp). There is a more powerful variant of this SUV with an e-motor for 160 kW (214 hp). This BEV adopts an LFP battery for 56.2 kWh. It is suitable for a 510 km range under CLTC conditions. The entry-level variant of the BYD Atto 3 offers a 49.9 kWh battery. However, there is a long-range variant of the BYD’s crossover with a 60.5 kWh pack.
As mentioned, the Leapmotor B10 can be equipped with a LiDAR sensor, enhancing its ADAS functions. Other features of the car include a 360-degree camera system and a large sunroof. The Leapmotor B10 will start presales in China on March 10. CarNewsChina expects this vehicle to cost 100,000 – 150,000 yuan (13,750 – 20,650 USD).
It is worth mentioning that the Leapmotor will enter the European market in late 2025 with a price tag below 30,000 EUR (31,700 USD). For clarity, the BYD Atto 3 costs over 35,000 EUR in Europe (37,000 USD).
