2025 Denza D9 MPV enters market starting at 46,600 USD
On December 26, the 2025 Denza D9 was officially launched, available in five PHEV and three EV variants, priced from 339,800 – 469,800 yuan (46,600 – 64,400 USD). The new car is mainly upgraded in terms of configurations. The entire series is equipped with BYD’s “God’s Eye” BAS 3.0+ advanced driving assistance system.

For the exterior, the appearance remains largely the same, with the addition of a roof lidar to realize BYD’s “God’s Eye” system, which supports high-speed and city navigation assistance functions including traffic light start-stop, irregular lane line recognition, obstacle avoidance, and an automatic emergency braking speed of 120 km/h. There are a total of 32 sensors throughout the car.
At the same time, the car runs on new 18-inch multi-spoke aluminum alloy rims and a new paint called Starry Gray has also been added to the existing Night Black, Bright White, and Elegant Blue selections. BYD’s DiSus-C continuous damping control system, iCCT (intelligent comfort control technology), and intelligent electric four-wheel drive system are all present.

The 2025 Denza D9 has a length, width, and height of 5250 mm, 1960 mm, and 1900 mm, respectively, the wheelbase is 3110 mm, which is 20 mm shorter compared to the 2024 model. The official said the car can accommodate seven 1.80 meters tall adults, seven carry-on suitcases, and 7 backpacks simultaneously.
The PHEV version adopts BYD’s fifth-generation DM technology. The maximum power of the 1.5T engine model BYD472ZQB is 115 kW (154 hp), an increase of 13 kW (17 hp) compared to the 2024 model. The FWD has a 200 kW (268 hp) electric motor while the AWD adds a 45 kW (60 hp) rear electric motor. The maximum power of the front motor is increased by 30 kW (40 hp) compared to the 2024 model.
The 39.938 kWh BYD Blade LFP battery pack provides a CLTC pure electric range of 200 km and 190 km as well as a comprehensive range of 1,100 km and 1,020 km (under a full fuel and full charge) for the FWD and AWD, respectively. The fuel consumption is 5.85L/100km and the top speed is 190 km/h.

Furthermore, the EV variant is equipped with an 800V platform as standard, which can replenish 243 km with 15 minutes of charging time and shorten the 0% to 80% fast charging time to 7 minutes. The 103 kWh BYD Blade LFP battery pack provides two cruising ranges of 620 km and 600 km.
Inside, the layout also remains largely unchanged with the following updates:

In addition, the 2025 Denza D9 also supports 10-screen interconnection including the central control screen, LCD instrument panel, co-pilot entertainment screen, HUD, dual screens behind the front seats, second-row dual armrest screens, digital rearview mirror, and refrigerator touch screen.
The cumulative sales of the Denza D9 from January to November were 92,945 units.
