BYD officials clarified that due to manufacturing reasons, the bolts of the internal electric connectors of the integrated dual-motor controller might not be tightened. As a result, bolt connection points can loosen during vehicle use. In some cases, it can cause smoke and fire, posing a safety hazard.
BYD Auto authorized Shenzhen Fang Cheng Bao New Energy Automobile to replace the integrated dual-motor controller for vehicles within the recall scope free of charge. Owners of vehicles with a possible bolt connection point problem will be informed via call and official message.
