Changan launched new Deepal S07 and L07 to popularize intelligent driving
On February 9, Changan launched its new Deepal S07 SUV and Deepal L07 sedan, available in seven and six trims covering EV and EREV variants; with a price range of 169,900 – 197,900 yuan (23,300 – 27,200 USD) and 151,900 – 170,900 yuan (20,800 – 23,500 USD), respectively.
Both models feature advanced driving assistance capabilities powered by the Huawei Qiankun ADS and Deepal AD Pro systems.
The Deepal AD Pro is supported by an 8-megapixel HD camera, four surround-view cameras, five millimeter-wave radars, and 12 ultrasonic radars; offering 12 capabilities including forward collision warning, rear-end collision warning, lane departure warning, automatic emergency braking, lane keeping assist, traffic sign recognition, and blind spot monitoring. It was reported that the system will be further upgraded in the first quarter of 2025 to cover more automatic parking scenarios, including remote intelligent parking assistance and customized parking.
Deepal S07
The Deepal S07 was upgraded to the “Deepal Super Range Extender 2.0 System” powered by a 72 kW (97 hp) 1.5L range extender, a 175 kW (235 hp) or 190 kW (255 hp) rear electric motor, and 31.73 kWh or 39.05 kWh lithium iron phosphate battery packs. The CLTC pure electric range is 215 km and 285 km while the CLTC comprehensive range is 1210 km and 1280 km, respectively. The lowest NEDC fuel consumption is 4.1L/100km, which is a decrease of 0.4L compared to the previous version.
The EV variant is equipped with a rear electric motor that outputs 160 kW (215 hp) or 190 kW (255 hp), paired with 68.82 kWh lithium iron phosphate or 79.97 kWh ternary lithium battery packs, providing a CLTC range of 520 km and 628 km, respectively.
Deepal L07
The Deepal L07 is the only sedan within the 200,000 yuan (27,400 USD) price range to be equipped with the Huawei Qiankun ADS SE system, according to the brand. After the upgrade to the EREV 2.0 System, the lowest NEDC fuel consumption is 3.8L/100km and the entire series is equipped with 3C fast charging as standard. Charging from 30% to 80% takes less than 15 minutes and charging for ten minutes increases the range by 100 km.
The EREV variant uses a 72 kW (97 hp) 1.5L engine as a range extender, a 160 kW (215 hp) or 190 kW (255 hp) rear electric motor, and 28.39 kWh or 35.07 kWh lithium iron phosphate battery packs. The CLTC pure electric range is 230 km and 300 km while the comprehensive range is 1330 km and 1400 km, respectively. The EV variant is equipped with a 185 kW (248 hp) electric motor and a 56.12 kWh lithium iron phosphate battery pack, offering a CLTC range of 530 km.
At the same time, the interior has undergone numerous upgrades. The previous eight speakers have been increased to 22. 64-color ambient lights, front double-layer soundproof glass, and automatic anti-glare for the rearview mirror have also been added.
