Chery Exeed VX C-DM plug-in hybrid SUV official images revealed ahead of launch
On February 7, Chery announced that the first batch of its Exeed VX (known as Lanyue in China) C-DM mass-produced vehicles officially rolled off the assembly line. The pre-sale is expected to open soon and the official launch in March to compete with models such as the Wey Lanshan, Li L8, and Aito M7.
For reference, the existing gasoline-powered variant has a price range of 193,900 – 233,900 yuan (26,600 – 32,100 USD).
Positioned as a medium-to-large SUV, the vehicle has a length, width, and height of 5010/1940/1800 mm, respectively; and a wheelbase of 2900 mm, which is 40 mm longer and 8 mm taller than the gasoline-powered variant. The vehicle’s curb weight is 2280 kg. Both 6- and 7-seat layouts are still supported.
Externally, the Exeed VX C-DM continues the design style of the gasoline-powered variant, featuring a large polygonal center grille and dot-element headlights. The rear adopts the “Less is more” design concept, highlighting a fork-designed taillight group. There is also a C-DM logo on the lower left corner of the tailgate, the AWD logo on the right side, and high-mounted brake lights.
The Exeed VX C-DM is built based on the M3X hybrid platform. The entire series comes standard with a four-wheel drive system. Its plug-in hybrid system consists of a 1.5T engine and dual electric motors, matched with a 34.46 kWh ternary lithium battery pack. The maximum power of the 1.5T engine is 115 kW (154 hp) and the total power of the motors is 340 kW (about 456 hp). The CLTC pure electric range is 143 km, the comprehensive range is 1,300 km, the 0 – 100 km/h acceleration time is in the 5-second range, and the comprehensive fuel consumption is 1.5L/100km,
