Chery Fulwin A9 plug-in hybrid sedan will launch in early 2025
On October 8, Chery revealed the body color images of its upcoming Fulwin A9 plug-in hybrid sedan, available in nine colors, namely, Wonderland Green, Snow Ridge White, Bibo Blue, Ningye Purple, Xuanye Blue, Danfeng Red, Cuizhu Green, Moshi Black, and Tanhai Green. The mass-produced Fulwin A9 is expected to launch in early 2025.

Fulwin is known as Fengyun in China, a new energy vehicle series under Chery. Since its launch in late 2023, the Fulwin series has launched four models in less than a year, including both SUVs and sedans, namely, the T10, T9, T6, and A8, all of which are plug-in hybrid models. Fulwin’s 2024 sales target is 200,000 vehicles, according to Yao Fei, deputy general manager of Chery Marketing.
The Fulwin A9 debuted in September 2023, then subsequently appeared at multiple auto shows in China. Based on the model naming, the Fulwin A9 is expected to position higher than the Fulwin A8 (see spec here), with a starting price likely around 250,000 yuan (35,400 USD). It is worth mentioning that the vehicle will be equipped with an L3+ assisted driving system and Chery also revealed that the body length is nearly five meters and the wheelbase is nearly three meters long.

For the exterior, the Fulwin A9 adopts a closed front face that is decorated with dot-matrix light-emitting elements and a three-stage grille at the bottom.
The rear features a through-type taillight group and an electric wing, further enhancing the sportiness of the vehicle. The C-DM plug-in hybrid logo is affixed to the lower left corner. Multi-spoke rims and semi-hidden door handles are also not absent.
Additionally, there is an AWD logo on the lower side of the front door, indicating the Fulwin A9’s four-wheel drive status.

Furthermore, power comes from Chery’s Kunpeng super hybrid C-DM system consisting of a 1.5T engine and electric motors. The pure electric range is 200 km and the comprehensive range with a full tank and full charge is 1,400 km (assuming under CLTC conditions).
