Chery Fulwin T8 PHEV with 2087.6 range will enter market on February 22
On February 13, Chery announced that its Fulwin T8 plug-in hybrid SUV will officially enter the market on February 22 in China. Previously, the pre-sale opened in January starting at 15,000 USD, available in six trims and five- & seven-seat layouts.
Including the T8, the Fulwin series’ T-family has a total of four SUV models, namely, T6, T9, and T10.
The Fulwin T8 measures 4730/1860/1747 mm in length, width, and height, respectively; and the wheelbase is 2710 mm.
The trunk can be expanded to 1930 L.
The onboard level 2.9 intelligent driving assistance system supports 18 safety functions, including lane departure assist, adaptive cruise control, and traffic jam assist.
The plug-in hybrid system offers two engine options: a 1.5L naturally aspirated engine and a 1.5T turbocharged engine, combined with a front electric motor and mated to a DHT. The naturally aspirated engine outputs a maximum power of 75 kW (101 hp) and a peak torque of 125 Nm while the turbocharged engine outputs 115 kW (154 hp) and 220 Nm. The front electric motor outputs 150 kW (201 hp) and 310 Nm. The top speed is 208 km/h.
The lithium iron phosphate battery pack enables a CLTC pure electric range of 65 km and 130 km, respectively. Chery announced that the WLTC comprehensive range can reach 1,200 km, while in the actual test drive, the comprehensive range with a full tank and full charge is 2078.6 km. The WLTC comprehensive fuel consumption is as low as 1.3L/100km.
Under fast charging, it takes the 1.5T trims 19 minutes to replenish the battery from 30% to 80%.
The cockpit is lit up with purple ambient lights, combined with a D-shaped steering wheel, a 15.6-inch 2.5K floating center control screen, and a 10.25-inch rectangular full LCD instrument panel. Furthermore, the cockpit is powered by Chery’s Lion5.0 smart cockpit system that runs on a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8155 chip, which supports an AI voice assistant.
