Chery’s Exeed Exlantix ES EREV revealed in official images ahead of launch
On February 12, Huang Zhaogen, general manager of Chery’s Exeed marketing division, released the official pictures of its upcoming Exeed Exlantix ES EREV variant. Huang claimed that the car will be “the first high-end range-extender smart sedan in its class.” Market entry is expected to occur in early March.
The price tag has not been revealed at this time. For reference, the current 2025 Exeed Exlantix ES EV variant on sale has a price range of 195,900 – 299,900 yuan (26,800 – 41,000 USD). So far, the EREV variant has been delivered to the first batch of internal test car owners and mass production started in January.
The EREV measures 4945/1978/1480 mm and the wheelbase is 3000 mm. A new Aurora Purple body color is added while the exterior design remains the same as the EV variant, continuing the “aesthetics of wind” design. The roof is also equipped with a lidar, which is expected to support high-end intelligent driving covering highways and urban environments.
From the side, the red brake calipers further emphasize the sportiness of the vehicle, paired with hidden door handles and a sloped roof for aerodynamicness.
Power comes from Chery’s self-developed 1.5T “Golden Range-Extender System”. The 1.5T engine has a maximum power of 115 kW (154 hp). It was reported that the car offers two lithium iron phosphate battery pack options: 33.67 kWh and 39.91 kWh, offering a pure electric range of 205 km and a comprehensive range of 1,645 km. The fuel consumption is as low as 4.9L to 5.7L. Additionally, the car supports 2.4C charging and a charging power of 110 kW, which can replenish the battery pack from 20% to 80% in 17.5 minutes.
However, at this time, the electric motor and battery specs have not yet been announced by Chery. The final specs are subjected to the official announcement.
