First mass-produced Denza N9 from BYD rolled off the production line before the launch
The first mass-produced Denza N9 full-size SUV with over 1,000 hp rolled off the production line in China. The BYD’s crossover will enter the Chinese market in March this year. Later, the Denza N9 will enter Europe and Central Asia.
Denza is a high-end brand under the world’s biggest NEV maker, BYD. Its current model line comprises the Denza N7 crossover, Denza Z9 sedan, Denza Z9 GT estate, and Denza D9 minivan. Last year, Denza sold 125,647 units in China, according to China EV DataTracker. In February, BYD launched the mass production of its flagship model, the Denza N9 crossover. It will start sales in China next month.

BYD started the mass production of the Denza N9 SUV with a PHEV variant. The all-electric variant of this SUV will enter production later. Official photos show that BYD launched the mass production of the N9 on a large scale. These large SUVs are rolling off at least three lines. Each line seems to be dedicated to a specific body color: black, green, and blue.
Denza officials announced that N9 SUVs had already reached showrooms across China. The Denza N9 crossover will enter the Chinese market in March this year with an estimated price of around 500,000 yuan (68,600 USD). Later, this model will enter Europe and Central Asia. It was officially confirmed that the Denza N9 will enter Kazakhstan alongside Fang Cheng Bao Bao 5 and Bao 8 sturdy off-roaders.

The Denza N9 is a large SUV with exterior styling clearly inspired by Range Rover. It adopts a strong posture and minimalistic touches like retractable door handles, blackened pillars, and a thin taillight strip. The Denza N9 measures 5258/2030/1830 mm with a wheelbase of 3125 mm. For clarity, this SUV is 5 mm longer than the L460 Range Rover Long. The Denza N9 rides on R21 or R22 wheels.
The Denza N9 SUV adopts six seats with a 2+2+2 layout. The car’s center console adopts three monitors. The main screen has a diameter of 17.3 inches. The LCD instrument cluster and the front passenger’s screen share a diameter of 13.2 inches. The second-row passengers have an additional 17.1-inch ceiling-mounted monitor. Moreover, there are two folding tables that can hold up to 10 kg of weight. Another high-end feature of the Denza N9 is an 11.5-liter storage box with heating and cooling functions. Air suspension ensures the comfort of passengers and the driver of the Denza N9.
The PHEV variant of the Denza N9 SUV adopts a combination of three electric motors for 680 kW (911 hp) and a 2-liter turbocharged engine for 152 kW (204 hp). It has a 47-kWh LFP battery pack for 200 km of electric range (CLTC). The car’s top speed reaches 230 km/h. The Denza N9 will also have a BEV variant with three e-motors for 710 kW (951 hp).
