On February 14, Geely Galaxy L7 EM-i was officially launched, available in four trims, with a limited time price range of 115,800 – 148,800 yuan (16,000 – 20,500 USD). The new car features Geely’s new generation NordThor hybrid system and the Flyme Auto smart cockpit system.

The Geely Galaxy L7 EM-i is designed based on the Geely Galaxy L7. The front is equipped with a through-type LED headlight group and a closed panel while the EM-i logo has been added to the tail.

The length, width, and height are 4710/1905/1685 mm, respectively, and the wheelbase is 2785 mm; which is 10 cm longer than the previous model. Additionally, the curb weight ranges from 1810 kg to 1890 kg depending on the trims.

The powertrain system is supplied by Geely’s new generation of NordThor EM-i hybrid technology:

  • an 82 kW (110 hp)/136 Nm 1.5L naturally aspirated engine, an 160 kW (215 hp)/262 Nm electric motor, mated to an E-DHT, and matched with an 18.4 kWh lithium iron phosphate battery pack, offering a CLTC pure electric range of 115 km
  • an 120 kW (161 hp)/255 Nm 1.5T engine, a 107 kW (143 hp)/338 Nm electric motor, mated to a 3DHT pro, and matched with an 18.7 kWh lithium iron phosphate battery pack, offering a CLTC electric range of 115 km

The WLTC comprehensive fuel consumption ranges from 1.05 L to 1.3 L per 100 km and the comprehensive cruising range is 1,240 km. Additionally, the official claims that it takes 20 minutes to increase the range from 30% to 80% in fast charging mode while slow charging takes from 2.7 to 3 hours.

The interior design also remains largely unchanged and is powered by the Flyme Auto intelligent cockpit system. The entire series is equipped with a four-spoke steering wheel, a 10.25-inch LCD instrument panel, a 13.2-inch central control screen and a 16.2-inch co-pilot entertainment screen as standard, supporting dual-screen linkage, multi-tasking, CarLink, and Hicar mobile phone interconnection. Surprisingly, Geely chose to use the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8155 chip as opposed to its own Dragon Eagle-1 chip to power the cockpit.

Consumers can choose from two interior theme colors: brown and gray.
