Jetour released new Shanhai L9 PHEV spy photos
On February 10, Jetour officially released the spy photos of its new Shanhai L9 SUV covered in camouflage. The cover depicted phrases including “zero gravity seats”, “immediate market launch with no delivery wait time”, “500,000 yuan (68,400 USD) level luxury vehicle”, “movie theater massage type seats”, “6.6 kW external discharge function”, and “lifetime warranty”.
The Jetour Shanhai L9 is a medium-sized 7-seater plug-in hybrid SUV launched in November 2023 under Jetour’s Shanhai new energy vehicle series, available in four trims with a price range of 166,900 – 188,900 yuan (23,000 – 26,000 USD). The length, width, and height are 4862/1925/1784 mm, respectively; and a wheelbase of 2850 mm. In 2024, only 12,909 units of the Jetour Shanhai L9 were sold.
The new Jetour Shanhai L9 is expected to be 49 mm longer with a length of 4911 mm. For the appearance, the front adopts a new closed face while the through-type headlight is retained. At the same time, the rear design is also expected to remain largely the same with a through-type taillight group.
According to the declaration information revealed by the Chinese MIIT, the new Jetour Shanhai L9 will be powered by a SQRH4J15 model 1.5T turbocharged engine. Under fast charging, it takes 10 minutes to replenish 200 km of range. For reference, the current version is equipped with dual front permanent magnet synchronous motors with a total power of 199 kW (267 hp) and torque of 395 Nm, bringing the comprehensive system power to 314 kW (421 hp) when combined with the 115 kW (154 hp) engine. The CLTC pure electric ranges are 55 km and 108 km.
At this time, the official has not revealed additional powertrain specifications. We’ll watch closely for more info.
