JMEV launches 2025 version of the EV3 Plus with more powerful motor
Jiangling has launched the 2025 version of the JMEV Yizhi EV3 Plus which is known internationally as the JMEV EV3 Plus. It will compete with cars such as the BYD Seagull and the Wuling Bingo. There are only two versions, the Comfort priced at 62,800 yuan (8550 USD) and Luxury at 66,800 yuan (9100 USD).

Jiangling is perhaps better known as JMC. Although the company is more of a truck producer, it is also the company behind the notorious Landwind brand, along with Yusheng, and has a joint venture with Ford.
The EV3 Plus comes from the new energy division of Jiangling, which is called JMEV. Despite being on sale since 2019, the car has been completely under the radar.

The only notable electric car to come from JMC to date has been the Ford Territory which is an electrified version of the Yusheng S330, the Territory is also available as an ICE. It should also be noted that it was also announced on January 13 that the Xiaomi-backed SC-01 sports car would also become a part of the JMEV brand.
The car is a relatively attractive-looking hatchback with dimensions of 3720/1640/1535 mm and a wheelbase of 2390 mm. Curb weight is 1060 kg.
Inside, the EV3 Plus appears relatively basic, with a dashboard-mounted central infotainment screen. This presumably doubles as an instrument display, as there appears to be no separate screen. Pictures show a pink-colored car, which also extends the pink theme to the interior.

Power comes from a 50 kW electric motor which provides a maximum torque of 125 Nm. This is an increase over the 40 kW and 36 kW motors featured in previous versions of the car.
The 2025 version uses a 30.24 kWh battery back which provides a CLTC range of up to 330 km. Top speed is 102 km/h.
The JMEV brand was created in 2015 by JMC. In 2019, Renault took a 50% stake, making it a joint venture. It is unclear whether Renault still has this stake. According to the company’s website, which surprisingly has an English version, cumulative sales of the brand are more than 100,000 – a pretty appalling number given how long the brand has been selling cars.
Currently, JMEV sells the EV2, EV3, and Elight models.
