New Tesla Model Y “Juniper” received 50,000 orders on launch day in China, source says
On January 10 when the new Tesla Model Y “Juniper” was launched in China, 50,000 orders were placed that day, according to a Chinese auto blogger named 长三角行健者 (Zhang San Jiao Xing Jian Zhe). Additionally, a Tesla China store salesperson said that his store received nearly 300 orders on the 10th, all of whom were potential customers who intended to reserve the new Tesla Model Y. This is consistent with another reveal from the Chinese auto blogger 胖虎Shawn (Pang Hu Shawn) that the number of orders at a single store exceeded 100 units.
