On February 19, Chery officially launched its Jetour Freedom SUV in Saudi Arabia under the name of Jetour T1. The car is available in two trims, with tax-inclusive prices of 109,999 Saudi riyals (29,300 USD or 211,900 yuan) and 119,999 Saudi riyals (32,000 USD or 230,900 yuan), respectively.<\/p>\n

In China, the Jetour Freedom recently started pre-sale on February 14, with a price range of 129,900 \u2013 159,900 yuan (17,900 \u2013 22,000 USD). <\/p>\n

As a brand under Chery, Jetour is divided into two major product series, namely Jetour and Jetour Shanhai. Jetour Shanhai is further divided into Jetour Shanhai T and Jetour Shanhai L series. The Jetour Freedom can be regarded as the gasoline-powered variant of the\u00a0Jetour Shanhai T1.<\/p>\n

At the launch event, Chery announced that Jetour aims to sell more than 20,000 vehicles in Saudi Arabia by the end of 2025, and will further expand its dealer network.<\/p>\n

The Jetour T1 has a length, width, and height of 4706\/1967\/1845 mm, and the wheelbase is 2810 mm.<\/p>\n

The 135 kW (181 hp)\/290 Nm 1.5T engine is matched with a 7DCT, while the 180 kW (251 hp)\/390 Nm 2.0T engine is matched with an 8AT and equipped with an XWD fully automatic intelligent four-wheel drive system. The fuel tank capacity is 70 L and the top speed is 180 km\/h.<\/p>\n

Inside, the cockpit features a symmetrical T-shaped layout and maintains the off-road styling, particularly with the rectangular air-conditioning outlets. The 15.6-inch floating central control screen is equipped with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8155 chip, which supports common functions such as navigation, mobile phone interconnection, voice interaction, and OTA updates. A row of physical buttons is also retained below the central control screen.<\/p>\n

Furthermore, the front seats provide heating and ventilation functions. The rear seat backrest angle can also be adjusted. When fully folded down, the trunk can form a flat space with a length of 2 m.<\/p>\n
