Xiaomi SU7 Ultra electric sedans with three electric motors and a peak power output of 1,138 kW (1,526 hp) were spotted at the brand’s Beijing factory. It seems the automaker has started the mass production of this high-performance model, as its sales launch and deliveries are scheduled for March. Previously, the Xiaomi SU7 Ultra became the fastest four-door car.

As mentioned, the Xiaomi SU7 Ultra is a high-performance variant of the regular Xiaomi SU7. It started presales on October 29 with a price tag of 814,900 yuan (113,200 USD). Despite the high price of this sedan, it got 3,680 orders in just 10 minutes after the presentation had ended. The deliveries of this model are scheduled for next month. However, a bunch of Xiaomi SU7 Ultra was seen at the Beijing plant in early February. It seems Xiaomi is getting ready to sell these 1,500-hp beasts as hotcakes.

Several dozen SU7 Ultra were spotted at Xiaomi’s Beijing plant. A sporty front bumper can distinguish this model with a front spoiler, larger brakes, an exclusive yellow body color, and white stripes with “Ultra” inscriptions. Moreover, the Xiaomi SU7 Ultra has a large rear spoiler and a slightly wider body.

Despite there being no official information about the mass production start of the Xiaomi SU7 Ultra, dozens of these cars hint that the volume assembly of this sedan has been launched. It is worth noting that Xiaomi began mass-producing the regular variant of the SU7 in February last year. And the car’s actual sales started on March 28. So, Xiaomi follows the method that was previously tested.

Here, we will highlight that despite manufacturing some cars in advance, Xiaomi’s Beijing plant still can’t satisfy the demand for the regular SU7. As a result, the waiting time for the Xiaomi SU7 after placing an order is 21 – 29 weeks (around 5 – 7 months).

More about the Xiaomi SU7 Ultra

It is worth noting that the regular Xiaomi SU7 is also a quick vehicle. Its Max trim level offers a peak power of 495 kW (664 hp) and 838 Nm of torque. Its zero-to-hundred acceleration time is 2.78 seconds. However, Xiaomi Auto officially stated that the SU7 was designed for regular drives on urban roads, and not for track rides. As a result, there were some accidents, when the SU7’s brakes burned out on track, resulting in crashes.

The Xiaomi SU7 Ultra is the track-ready car many users have been waiting for. It has three electric motors with a combined peak power of 1,138 kW (1,526 hp) and a maximum torque of 1,770 Nm. Its 0 – 100 km/h acceleration time is 1.98 seconds. The Xiaomi SU7 Ultra offers the largest carbon ceramic brake discs on a sports car to date, with Akebono 6-piston calipers in the front and 4-piston calipers in the rear. Those carbon ceramic brakes can handle a maximum temperature of over 1,300 degrees Celsius.

The Xiaomi SU7 Ultra adopts the CATL-made 93.7 kWh ternary NMC battery with a 5.2C DC charging system. This means that its charging power is about five times the battery capacity or around 490 kW. It charges 10-80% in 11 minutes. Under CLTC conditions, the Xiaomi SU7 Ultra’s range is 620 km.

Another feature of the Xiaomi SU7 Ultra is a large rear spoiler that boosts the car’s downforce to 285 kg. The car’s dimensions are 5115/1970/1465 mm, and its wheelbase is 3000 mm. Its curb weight is 2,360 kg, which is 150 kg lighter than the BMW M5 G90 sedan.
