Xpeng G7 revealed in offical pictures ahead of listing information
Just the day after spy shots emerged of the new Xpeng G7 official pictures have now been published. Publication of them has possibly been spurred by Tesla releasing official pictures of the new Model Y. Chinese bloggers are already comparing the new Xpeng favorably compared with the new version of the Model Y.

The new car has the same design language as the Xpeng P7+. This is particularly obvious at the front, where there are the same dual ridges on the hood and split headlight design. In addition, there is the through lights at the front. A sporty look is created by using blacked-out air intakes.
From the side, the car has strong lines with the roof line, culminating in a spoiler. There are hidden door handles, and the car features game controller like wheels.

At the rear, the lights are similarly designed to those of the P7+. However, on the G7, these are through lights, which also extend into the tailgate on the lower section as well. On the P7+ they simply arc back to the tailgate.
It’s believed that the new SUV will focus on intelligence and space. Thanks to the new Hawk AI system Xpeng is able to offer smart driving at a considerably lower cost due to the need of no longer equipping cars with Lidar.
Prices for the new G7 may start at around 200,000 yuan (27,300 USD). Xpeng has had considerable success with its strategy with the Mona M03 and P7 plus, which both have high configurations and relatively low prices. These two models have managed to turn around Xpeng’s sales figures which previously had been stagnating, if not declining.

However, Xpeng’s head of public relations has said that we should expect a powerful new car to be announced in the latest Ministry of Industry and Information Technology listings. It is unclear what exactly he meant by powerful. Is it power as in the actual power of the car, or does he mean more metaphorically that it is going to be a car to be reckoned with?
The Ministry of Industry and Information Technology listing should be out within the next week and will give us far more information about the new G7.
Sales will likely begin in the first half of 2025. Size wise the G7 will lie some way between that of the G6 (see specs), which measures 4753, 1920, 1650 mm (l/w/h), and the G9 (see specs), which measures 4891, 1937, 1670 mm (l/w/h).
