Geely achieves 2.1 million car sales in 2024
On January 5th, Geely Group announced its 2024 total sales to have reached 2,176,567 units. This represents a year-over-year increase of over 32%, exceeding the original 2 million sales target and setting a new annual sales record for the company.

In December alone, passenger car sales reached 210,055 units, a year-over-year increase of over 43%. This marks the fourth consecutive month with sales exceeding 200,00 units.
In December, Geely NEV sales (including Geely, Lynk & Co, and Zeekr brands) totaled 111,206 units. This reflects a year-over-year growth of 93% and makes up 53% of Geely’s total December sales. In China, NEV sales have surpassed 50% of total sales in the last five months.

For 2024, Geely’s total NEV sales reached 888,235 units, marking a 92% increase from the previous year. This significantly exceeded Geely’s original annual target.
With strong sales momentum and a slew of products being developed, Geely set its 2025 sales target at 2.71 million, with a NEV target of 1.5 million. This means Geely expects NEV sales to make up 55% of its total business.
The Geely Galaxy series achieved total sales of 494,000 units for 2024, representing a year-on-year growth of approximately 80%. Geely own brand’s total sales for 2024 reached 1,669,003 units, an increase of over 27% year-on-year.

Zeekr brand’s total deliveries for the year 2024 reached 222,123 units, an 87% increase year-on-year, bringing Zeekr’s cumulative deliveries to nearly 420,000 units.
In terms of overseas exports, Geely Automobile Group’s cumulative sales for 2024 reached 403,923 units, an increase of over 53% year-on-year.
Looking forward to 2025
Geely Galaxy, Geely’s NEV mass-market brand, will launch five new models, including two SUVs and three sedans. Additionally, Geely will introduce two new-generation ICE engine models. Geely has also merged the pick-up truck Radar brand into Geely Auto Group, further streamlining operations.
During the 2025 Shanghai Auto Show, Zeekr is expected to unveil a new hybrid platform. It’s unclear if a new model will debut simultaneously, but the brand has been testing its new hybrid platform throughout 2024 on the Zeekr 001.
Global expansion will continue in the new year as Geely targets 15.6% growth in the overseas market in 2025. Geely plans to establish localized manufacturing plants in Indonesia, Vietnam, Central Asia, and Africa. Geely aims for a total of 1,100 sales outlets globally in 2025.
