Geely's Zeekr brand has announced that pre-sales for the five-seat version of its flagship 9X plug-in hybrid electric vehicle (PHEV) crossover will commence in China on July 8. This variant was previously spotted undergoing road tests in China. Earlier reports indicated that the 9X is scheduled to enter the European market by the end of 2026. The full-size SUV delivers a maximum power output of 1,030 kW (1,381 hp).
The six-seat configuration of the Zeekr 9X was launched in the Chinese market in late September last year, with prices ranging from 465,900 to 599,900 yuan (approximately $68,625 to $88,360 USD). According to China EV DataTracker, cumulative deliveries of this model have exceeded 60,000 units. Zeekr officials noted that the 9X has led the high-end SUV segment for seven consecutive months.

The five-seat variant of the Zeekr 9X was previously seen during road tests in China, and brand officials have officially confirmed its inclusion in the product roadmap. Pre-orders will open on July 8. While further details about this version remain undisclosed, Zeekr stated on social media that the new model will “inherit the flagship genes of the 9-Series, redefining the five-seater luxury experience.”
It is worth noting that the five-seat full-size crossover segment is becoming increasingly crowded in China. Competitors such as Aito, Lynk & Co, and Li Auto have already introduced their own models to capture market share.
