BYD Qin L EV sedan revealed interior in China for the first time
The BYD Qin L EV sedan’s interior was officially revealed in China for the first time. The main features of this model include a gear shifter behind the steering wheel and a refrigerator. The Qin L EV offers up to 215 hp and 545 km of range.
The BYD Qin L EV is a battery-electric variant of the previously launched Qin L DM-i. Despite similar names, these two models have many differences. The Qin L EV stands on the e-Platform 3.0 Evo and comes standard with the God’s Eye C (DiPilot 100) driving assistance system.

The interior of the BYD Qin L EV aligns with the DM-i variant. However, there are a few notable exceptions. The center console of the Qin L EV has adjusted thin air vents. The car’s steering wheel also has a new shape with four spokes. The door cards of the Qin L EV have silver trim. The gear shifter of the electric sedan moved to the steering column.
The BYD Qin L EV has a refrigerator for four bottles in the center tunnel. This storage box also integrates a heating function. Its working temperature range is minus 6 to plus 50 degrees Celsius. Other features of the center tunnel include two cup holders, two wireless phone charging pads, and a block of physical buttons. The BYD Qin L EV also has a large rotatable screen.
The front seats of the BYD’s sedan adopt heating and ventilation functions. Another feature of the BYD Qin L EV is the God’s Eye C (DiPilot 100) intelligent driving system. As a result, this sedan supports the Navigation On Autopilot (NOA) function on highways. Another notable feature of the Qin L EV is a frunk for 65 L.

The BYD Qin L EV adopts the brand’s latest Loong Face design language (previously known as Dragon Face). Its front end has triangular headlamps joined by the chrome-plated element with the 秦 (Qin) character on it. The Qin L EV adopts flush door handles, a sleek roofline, and a single taillight unit. Dimensions of the Qin L EV are 4720/1880/1495 mm with a wheelbase of 2820 mm.
The entry-level Qin L EV uses a single electric motor in the front axle for 110 kW (148 hp) and an LFP battery for 46.08 kWh. This variant can run up to 470 km on a single charge (CLTC conditions). The more powerful version of the Qin L EV has a 160 kW (215 hp) e-motor and a battery pack for 56.64 kWh. The range is 545 km CLTC.
