Leapmotor B01 EV sedan spotted in China – set to launch for mid-2025
The Stellantis-backed Leapmotor B01 sedan was spotted in China without camouflage as this model is set to launch in mid-2025. It is an electric vehicle built on the Leapmotor B10 crossover’s platform. The B01 will start sales in China with a price range of around 100,000 – 150,000 yuan (13,650 – 20,450 USD). Later, this sedan can enter European markets.

Leapmotor is a Chinese new energy vehicle (NEV) maker founded in 2015. Last year, one of the world’s leading automakers Stellantis acquired over 20% of this company. Two parties have also created the Leapmotor International joint venture with Stellantis holding 51% of the shares. In 2024, Leapmotor delivered 293,724 cars to clients. Its current model line comprises five vehicles. This year, Leapmotor will launch the B10 crossover and the B01 sedan. The latter model was seen in China.
Leapmotor B01 spotted in China
The Lapmotor B01 was spotted in China with no camouflage. It adopts the brand’s latest design language. It has a closed front end with a single LED running lights strip and a sloped bonnet line. The spotted vehicle wears a yellow-ish body color. The car has a teardrop-shaped body with a sleek roofline. Its other exterior features include blackened pillars, flush door handles, and multi-spoke rims. Previously, the Leapmotor B10 crossover revealed the same wheel design.

The Leapmotor B01 has surround-view cameras on side-view mirrors, and blind-spot monitoring cameras in the front fenders. Its charging port sits in the right rear fender. The rear end of the car has a single taillight unit.
The Leapmotor B01 is the second car in the brand’s mainstream B-series. It will enter the market after the B10 electric crossover, which applied for the sales license last year. The B01 sedan stands on the Leap 3.5 architecture B platform. Its higher versions would be equipped with LiDAR and AI driving chips.
There is no information about the Leapmotor B01 specs. However, this car will be positioned as the competitor of the hot-selling Xpeng Mona M03. So, the B01 will likely feature a body length of 4.7 meters. As mentioned, the Leapmotor B01 is an all-electric model. It will adopt the same powertrain as the B10 crossover. The latter adopts a single e-motor for up to 160 kW (214 hp) powered by a 56.2 kWh LFP battery.
