The EV now sells nearly 30% cheaper than its 2021 launch price of 193,900 yuan (26,700 USD).<\/p>\n<p>Volkswagen conducts its operations in the Chinese market through two main joint ventures: SAIC-VW and FAW-VW (three, if you also count Volkswagen Anhui with JAC). Most of its models are manufactured and sold by both joint ventures, so to differentiate them, SAIC joint venture has X behind the name and FAW joint venture Crozz. <\/p>\n<p>ID.4 X\u2019s price cut of 20,000 yuan (2,700 USD) follows the same price cut as its sister car, ID.4 Crozz, which the FAW JV announced earlier this month. It is a WRD with a single electric motor with a maximum output of 125 kW 9168 hp and a peak torque of 310 Nm. The Smart trim has a new price of 139,900 yuan (19,200 USD)<\/p>\n<p>The ID.4 X Long Range trim has a bigger battery with 80.2 kWh capacity and a 601 km CLTC range. The electric motor is also mounted on the rear axle and has 170 kW (228 hp) power. Peak torque remains the same at 310 Nm.
