The Xiaomi SU7 Ultra, a high-performance electric sedan, has been seen at Xiaomi’s Beijing factory, indicating the start of mass production. Deliveries are scheduled to begin in March. The SU7 Ultra, a track-focused version of the standard Xiaomi SU7, opened for presales on October 29 for 814,900 yuan (113,300 USD). It received 3,680 orders within 10 minutes of its announcement.
The SU7 Ultra features a sporty front bumper, front spoiler, larger brakes, and a distinctive yellow body color with white “Ultra” stripes. It also includes a large rear spoiler and a slightly wider body than the standard SU7. The car is powered by Xiaomi’s advanced triple-motor system, producing 1,526 hp and 1,770 Nm of torque, enabling a 0-100 km/h acceleration time of 1.98 seconds. The V8s super motor can reach 27,200 rpm, allowing the car to achieve a top speed of 350 km/h.

It uses carbon ceramic brake discs, the largest on a sports car to date, capable of withstanding temperatures over 1,300°C. It boasts a braking distance of 30.8 meters from 100 km/h to a complete stop. The vehicle is powered by a CATL’s Qilin II high-power 93.7 kWh battery pack and a 5.2C DC charging system, allowing a 10-80% charge in 11 minutes and offering a CLTC range of 620 km.
The SU7 Ultra addresses the limitations of the standard SU7, designed for daily commutes, by offering enhanced performance and braking systems. The standard SU7, which began production in February 2023, still faces high demand, with 21-29 weeks of waiting times. The waiting period for the SU7 Ultra remains to be seen until its deliveries begin in March.
