MG has fully revealed the interior and technical specifications of its upcoming MG 07 fastback liftback, just ahead of the July 29 presale launch, as reported by Y-Auto. The all-electric model introduces localized computing hardware across the passenger vehicle lineup. This detailed reveal follows earlier coverage of the vehicle's road presence and a defense against design copycat claims.
The MG 07 measures 4886 mm in length, 1900 mm in width, and 1485 mm in height, with a wheelbase of 2825 mm. Notable exterior features include a stamped clamshell hood, curved floating headlights, and an active grille.
Cabin and electronics
Inside, customers can choose from white, violet, or royal blue interiors centered around a 15.6-inch 2.5K central display. The system runs on a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8295P processor, enabling full mobile device integration. An AI cabin module monitors humidity and temperature, automatically adjusting the main seat settings.

Interior features include a queen-size multifunctional makeup vanity and a front passenger zero-gravity seat. The audio system comprises 21 speakers arranged in a 7.1.4 spatial sound field. Luggage capacity includes a 697L electric rear tailgate, a 109L lower storage compartment, and a 30L dual-temperature refrigerator.
Performance and chassis
The MG 07 is built on an 800V platform supporting 5C fast charging. The battery delivers a maximum CLTC range of 840 km, surpassing the base trim's 650 km range. The plug-in hybrid version combines a 1.5L naturally aspirated engine (82 kW) with a front-mounted 152 kW electric motor. It uses a 30 kWh lithium-iron-manganese-phosphate battery from the CATL-SAIC joint venture, offering a WLTC electric range of up to 185 km. The hybrid retains the same dimensions and adds a front-wheel-drive option.
The electric powertrain accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in under 5 seconds. The mCDC electromagnetic suspension adjusts 200 times per second, using AI-based preview scanning to assess road conditions 15 to 150 meters ahead.
Market sales tracking
Driver assistance systems are powered by the Momenta R7 world model and an Xheart X7 neural processor, targeting the 300,000 yuan ($44,190) market segment. SAIC Motor Group plans to use these technologies to expand into other price points.
According to China EV DataTracker, MG delivered 15,067 MG4 EVs in May 2026, accounting for 85.8% of brand sales. The MG 5 logged 1,966 deliveries, and the MG 7 reached 456 units.
