Avatr 06 spotted in China, set for 2025 Q2 launch

A new set of spy images shows the Avatr 06 mid-size sedan has surfaced online. The vehicle is expected to be available in both fully electric and extended-range electric versions. It will be integrated with Huawei‘s QianKun Intelligent Driving ADS 3.0 and the HarmonyOS 4.0 infotainment system. The Avatr 06 is slated for launch in the second quarter of 2025, with a starting price estimated at around 250,000 yuan (34,400 USD).

The leaked images reveal color options, including purple, white, orange, and black. Adopting the AVATR 2.0 design philosophy, the car’s exterior aligns with the brand’s existing lineup with its signature daytime running lights.

The Avatr 06 features a fastback silhouette with modern design elements such as hidden door handles, a ducktail spoiler, and a blackened roof, creating a sporty aesthetic. Measuring 4,855 mm in length, 1,960 mm in width, and 1,450 mm (or 1,467 mm) in height, with a wheelbase of 2,940 mm, the sedan offers generous cabin space while maintaining an elegant, aerodynamic profile.

Inside, the Avatr 06 continues the brand’s minimalist yet futuristic design. The interior showcases five integrated screens, including a 35.4-inch digital display that combines the instrument cluster and side-view camera feeds, a 15.6-inch central touchscreen for infotainment, a digital rearview mirror, and two displays for side-view cameras. Other interior details include Avatr’s signature oval-shaped steering wheel with a column-mounted gear shifter, push-button door mechanisms replacing traditional handles, and a center console featuring illuminated Avatr branding, dual wireless charging pads, cup holders, and a hidden storage compartment.

The Avatr 06 offers a choice between fully electric and extended-range electric powertrains. The fully electric versions are built on an 800V platform, with single- and dual-motor configurations delivering 252 kW (338 hp) and 440 kW (590 hp). These variants utilize CATL‘s 72.9 kWh LFP battery, providing a CLTC range of 600–650 km. The extended-range version features a single rear motor generating 231 kW (310 hp) and a 1.5-liter turbocharged engine producing 115 kW (154 hp). Two LFP battery options, with capacities of 31.7 kWh and 45.06 kWh, offer pure electric ranges of 170 km and 240 km, respectively. This version achieves an energy consumption of 13.6 kWh/100 km and can travel up to 1,086 km on 59% battery charge.
