Lynk & Co 08 PHEV crossover to enter Europe for 55,630 USD
The Lynk & Co 08 plug-in hybrid mid-size crossover will enter Europe this year with a price tag of 52,995 EUR (55,630 USD). It will become the brand’s third model in the local market, following the Lynk & Co 01 PHEV compact SUV and the Lynk & Co 02 electric fastback crossover.
The Lynk & Co 08 entered the Chinese market in September 2023 with a starting price of 208,800 yuan (28,800 USD), becoming the brand’s bestselling model. Its cumulative deliveries from September 2023 to January 2025 reached 115,714 units, according to China EV DataTracker. This year, the Lynk & Co 08 will start sales in Europe to broaden the brand’s lineup.

The Lynk & Co 08 adopts the brand’s latest design language, which derives from the Lynk & Co The Next Day concept car. The mid-size SUV has distinguishing running lights and headlamps integrated into the front bumper. Those headlights are joined by an interactive LED strip. The Lynk & Co 08 has no grille. Instead, it has a large trapeze-shaped air intake to create the X-shaped face.
The notable highlight of the Lynk & Co 08 is the Tech Totem elements in the front doors. They integrate cameras and sensors of the car in one place. The Tech Totem aims to underline the brand’s efforts in the fields of new technologies. The Lynk & Co 08 has retractable door handles, a curved roofline, and a single taillight unit. Dimensions of the Lynk & Co 08 are 4820/1915/1685 mm with a wheelbase of 2848 mm. For clarity, it is 65 mm longer than the BMW X3 G45.
The interior of the Lynk & Co 08 has a 12.3-inch LCD instrument cluster accompanied by a 15.4-inch large touchscreen. The car’s highlight is the 92-inch augmented reality head-up display. The car’s gear shifter sits behind the D-shaped steering wheel. The Lynk & Co 08’s infotainment system adopts two A1000 chips made by Black Sesame and a pair of 7 nm chips from SiEngine. The NPU computing power reaches 16 TOPS.
Lynk & Co 08 powertrain
In China, the Lynk & Co 08 offers two plug-in hybrid powertrain options. The entry-level model has a 1.5-liter turbocharged ICE under the hood with a peak power of 120 kW (161 hp). It is paired with an electric motor for 160 kW (215 hp). The 4WD variant of the Lynk & Co 08 adds up to an additional e-motor for 156 kW (209 hp). This version speed up to 100 km/h in 4.6 seconds.
The Lynk & Co 08 for the Chinese market has two battery variants. The first one is 21 kWh, suitable for 120 km of electric range. The bigger pack boasts a capacity of 40 kWh, good for a 220 – 245 km range, depending on the drive type.
The exact powertrain specs of the Lynk & Co 08 in Europe have yet to be released. However, the car was said to have a WLTP electric range of 200 km. According to the automaker, it is the biggest number for a PHEV in Europe. The Lynk & Co 08’s battery can be charged from 10 to 80% in 33 minutes. The mixed range of the Lynk & Co 08 reaches 1,100 km. As Nicolas López Appelgren (CEO of Lynk & Co International) said, the 08 crossover bridges a gap to full electric mobility.
As mentioned, the Lynk & Co 08 will enter Europe this year with a price tag of 52,995 EUR (55,630 USD). It is a smart move from Geely’s brand as battery electric vehicles’ sales performance is unstable in Europe. The broadening of the model line will help the Chinese automaker to take a larger market share.
Lynk & Co currently sells in 22 European markets. The cumulative overseas sales volume of this brand reached 81,000 units from 2021 to 2024.
