搭载吉利新一代雷神 PHEV 系统的新款吉利银河 L7 曝光
On October 15, Geely’s new Galaxy L7 SUV was declared in the latest Chinese MIIT catalog, equipped with Geely’s next-gen plug-in hybrid system consists of a 1.5L naturally aspirated engine. For reference, the current Geely Galaxy L7 on sales has a price range of 125,700 – 169,700 yuan (17,700 – 23,800 USD).

Compared with the current Geely Galaxy L7 on the market, the front face of the new car underwent minor appearance adjustments. Most notably, the lower grille width has been reduced. Otherwise, the closed front face is retained along with the through-type LED light strip that connects the headlights on both sides.
The rear also continues the design of the current model. In terms of dimensions, the new Geely Galaxy L7 measures 4710/1905/1685 mm, with a wheelbase of 2785 mm, which is 10 mm longer than the current model.

Additionally, multiple rim designs are available, including 18-inch and 19-inch rims.
In terms of power, the new Geely Galaxy L7 will adopt Geely’s latest Thor plug-in hybrid technology consisting of a 1.5L engine and an electric motor, paireed with an 18.4 kWh lithium iron phosphate battery pack. The engine has a maximum power of 82 kW (110 hp) and the fuel consumption is 4.9L/100km. The pure electric range is 93 km (assuming under CLTC conditions).
For reference, the current model is powered by a Thor 1.5T engine that outputs 120 kW (161 hp) and 255 Nm as well as a permanent magnet synchronous motor that outputs 107 kW (143 hp) and 338 Nm, mated to 3-speed DHT Pro. Two battery pack capacities are offered: 9.11 kWh and 18.7 kWh, providing a corresponding CLTC pure electric range of 55 km and 115 km. The comprehensive ranges are 1310 km and 1370 km, depending on the trims.

In September, 7,018 units of the Geely Galaxy L7 were sold, accounting for 3.5% of Geely’s monthly sales volume and ranking 46th in SUV sales, according to the China Passenger Car Association. Additionally, the September sales performance decreased by 29.87% year-on-year and increased by 15.79% month-on-month. In the SUV market, the market share of the Geely Galaxy L7 in September decreased by 0.34% year-on-year, and its ranking in SUV dropped by two places compared with August. From January to September 2024, the cumulative sales of the Geely Galaxy L7 were 55,808 units, ranking 42nd in SUV sales.
