BYD will then start implementing 1000V charging on 2025 updates of its models and conduct \u201clarge-scale construction\u201d of ultra-fast charging stations. <\/p>\n<p>Models with 1000V support will be rolled out gradually in the coming months to the high-end models, allowing charging 300 km in 5 minutes, Auto Pixel <a href=\"https:\/\/chejiahao.autohome.com.cn\/info\/19500699#pvareaid=6826274\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">reports<\/a>. Compared with the 800V platforms, every additional 100V increases charging power by 25 kW at the same current. <\/p>\n<p>High-voltage platforms reduce the workload on the battery, generating less heat. This improves battery longevity and enables faster charging. They also benefit electric motors, allowing them to achieve higher speeds without increasing size.<\/p>\n<p>The report also revealed that BYD is working on pure electric architecture codenamed BOX to improve energy efficiency and system integration. <\/p>\n<p>The 1000V charging platform will be implemented on <span style=\"box-sizing: border-box; margin: 0px; padding: 0px;\">BYD\u2019s high-end models, such as the Dynasty series. In November, leaked information showed that BYD is working on the\u00a0world\u2019s fastest battery for electric construct<\/span>ion machinery. It will feature a 1500V high-voltage platform, 400A max current, up to 600 kW charging power, over 7000 life cycles, and a maximum capacity of 2,500 kWh. The battery will have lithium iron phosphate (LFP) chemistry. <\/p>\n<p>BYD sold 614,679 vehicles globally in January + February, up 90% from 322,767 units year-over-year.<\/p>\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">\u7f16\u8f91\u8bc4\u8bba<\/h2>\n<p>BYD cars weren\u2019t known for their fast charging capabilities, and especially in Europe, many users complained about the slow charging of BYD Atto 3 or Dolphin. BYD now wants to change it, at least for its high-end models. In China, the competition is obvious \u2013 Xiaomi SU7 supports 900V charging, Nio has its Nio ET9 flagship on the 900V platform, as well as its entry-level Onvo L60.
