The Aito M8 will enter the domestic market in April with a starting price of 368,000 yuan (50,650 USD). And the updated Aito M9 flagship SUV will start sales this month at 478,000 yuan (65,790 USD).<\/p>\n<p>Aito is a joint project between Seres and Huawei. The Chinese IT giant acts as a major parts and software supplier, while Seres takes care of chassis development and manufacturing. Huawei also sells Aito-branded cars in its own HIMA sales network. It is worth mentioning that the Aito project became highly successful. Last year, its domestic deliveries reached 385,904 vehicles. Soon, Aito will further boost its sales by launching two products: the new Aito M8 model and the updated Aito M9. They have started presales in China.<\/p>\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Aito M8 presales<\/h2>\n<p>The Aito M8 is the brand\u2019s latest model. It applied for a sales license in China on January 10, revealing core specs. This is a large EREV crossover that follows the brand\u2019s latest design language. It has a closed front end with large headlights joined by an LED strip. The car also offers a roof-mounted LiDAR sensor and large chrome-plated rims. For clarity, it is only 40 mm shorter than the Aito M9 flagship model. Inside, the Aito M8 has two seat layout variants: a 2+2+2 and a 2+3. The new SUV is powered by the dual-motor 4WD with a peak power of 392 kW (526 hp). Under the hood, this SUV has a 1.5-liter turbocharged range extender. The battery is either LFP or ternary NMC with a capacity of 36 kWh or 52 kWh. The car\u2019s electric range is 310 km under CLTC conditions. The car\u2019s center console adopts a large triple screen. The gear shifter is located behind the three-spoke steering wheel. The car\u2019s center tunnel integrates two cup holders, a hidden compartment, and two wireless charging pads. The second-row right captain chair of the six-seat variant of the M8 supports a zero-gravity mode.<\/p>\n<p>The Aito M8 is available for order with a starting price of 368,000 yuan (50,650 USD). This vehicle will compete with three Li Auto crossovers: the 5-seat L7, and 6-seat L8 &amp; L9. Their price lies in a 301,800 \u2013 439,800 yuan (41,620 \u2013 60,650 USD) range. So, the Aito M8 sits right in the middle of the mentioned lineup. The car\u2019s deliveries will kick off in April this year.<\/p>\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Aito M9 presales<\/h2>\n<p>The updated Aito M9 has also become available for pre-order. According to the brand\u2019s representatives, this model has ten tech updates, including Hiawei\u2019s latest intelligent driving system, and intelligent privacy windows. The updated Aito M9 adopts a new red body color. Another highlight of this model is the updated range extender under the hood. It adopts four LiDAR sensors: one in the front, one in the back, and two on both sides. The current variant of the M9 has one LiDAR in the front. So, the perception system of the new model will be seemingly boosted.<\/p>\n<p>We will remind you that the Aito M9 boasts hefty dimensions of 5230\/1999\/1800 mm with a wheelbase of 3110 mm. The electric variant of this SUV has a peak power output of 390 kW (523 hp) and a 100 kWh battery pack.
