Geely has released fresh official images of its upcoming Galaxy Cruiser 700 plug-in hybrid off-road SUV in China. The model is expected to hit the domestic market later this year, boasting a combined peak power output of 830 kW (1,113 hp).
Also referred to as the Zhanjian 700, the Galaxy Cruiser 700 is the production version of the Galaxy Cruiser concept car first shown at the Shanghai Auto Show 2025. Geely previously confirmed that this off-road SUV will feature a plug-in hybrid powertrain combining a petrol internal combustion engine with three electric motors.

On June 22, Geely Design published official images of the Galaxy Cruiser 700 in a green finish. The SUV features a boxy silhouette with rectangular headlights, large bumpers, wide wheel arches, blackened pillars, and a swing-out tailgate equipped with a mounted spare wheel. A LiDAR sensor sits on the roof, complemented by a mm-wave radar integrated into the front bumper.
The Galaxy Cruiser 700 comes with conventional door handles, roof racks, and a sculpted hood featuring a slim air intake. The rear end sports vertically arranged taillight units with three square elements. From behind, the Cruiser 700 draws comparisons to the Land Rover Defender, Jetour T2, and Jetour G700. The rear axle uses an independent suspension setup.

A camera is positioned above the middle brake light on the Cruiser 700, suggesting the vehicle will feature a streaming rear-view mirror to offset visibility loss from the spare wheel. This off-roader is highly likely to incorporate the G-ASD G-Pilot H7 assisted driving system, powered by the Nvidia AGX Thor chip delivering 700 TOPS. That system supports NOA (Navigate On Autopilot) mode on both urban roads and highways.
The Geely Galaxy Cruiser 700 uses a plug-in hybrid system delivering a combined peak power of 830 kW (1,113 hp). Company officials noted the SUV achieves a power-to-weight ratio of 288 kW per ton, indicating a curb weight of approximately 2,880 kg. Two electric motors will be mounted on the rear axle, with their drive shafts connected via a fluid-coupled locking mechanism. The Galaxy Cruiser 700 also offers a self-developed dynamic control system capable of passing the 80 km/h moose test.
According to China EV DataTracker, Geely Galaxy delivered 71,553 cars domestically in May 2026, a 9.8% year-over-year decline. The brand's models are sold under the Geely name in international markets. Geely's global EV sales (BEV+PHEV) reached 133,355 units in May 2025.
