Great Wall Motors has officially expanded the Tank 300 family. On July 19, 2026, the updated Tank 300 series debuted, introducing a clear division: standard-wheelbase versions built for off-road adventures and long-wheelbase plug-in hybrid (PHEV) models focused on city driving and daily practicality.

Standard-Wheelbase Models
The standard-wheelbase gasoline and diesel trims retain core off-road capabilities, featuring 4H, 4L, crawl control, and tank turn functions.
- Gasoline Models: The Challenger and Conqueror both use a 2.0T engine with a longitudinal 9AT transmission, delivering 162 kW (217 hp) and 380 N·m of torque.
- Diesel Model: The 2.4T diesel variant produces 135 kW (181 hp) and 480 N·m of torque, paired with a 9AT. It is tailored for long-distance trips and low-speed, high-torque demands, with improved sound insulation and cold-start reliability.
Long-Wheelbase Models
The new Tank 300L series extends the wheelbase from 2750 mm to 3010 mm, boosting interior space and ride comfort. These long-wheelbase versions aim to bridge the gap between serious off-roading and everyday urban use.
- Performance: The Hi4-T model comes with a 37.1 kWh battery, offering a WLTC pure electric range of 105 km, and delivers 310 kW (416 hp) and 750 N·m of torque. The high-performance Hi4-Z variant upgrades to a 59.6 kWh battery, extending the WLTC range to 200 km, with a combined output of 560 kW (751 hp) and 1195 N·m of torque, achieving a 0-100 km/h time of 4.3 seconds.
- Off-Road Features: Despite the longer wheelbase, the Tank 300L maintains strong off-road credentials. The approach angle increases to 38°, and minimum ground clearance is 234–235 mm (compared to 224 mm for standard models).
